Therapeutic Properties of Green Tea: A Review

The most consumed beverage in the world is tea after water. Till today consumption of black 70% while that green only 20%. One reason for this percentage lack awareness about and invested research. Green along with caffeine which imparts characteristic taste, bitterness stimulating effect, also rich a group chemicals, called Catechin Polyphenols (Commonly known as Tannins, contribute to bitter taste astringency) deliver antioxidant properties. Furthermore, comprises amino acids such Theanine alkaloids Adenine, Dimethylxanthine, Theobromine, Theophylline Xanthine. Some vitamins, like vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, C E are found tea. present review gives study various constituents their impact on human health. Studies provide strong evidence owing properties daily intake may be used preventive measure different types cancer other diseases. This detailed analysis highlighting it's potential natural nutraceutical. However, although much documented literature mentions positive effect yet had explored correlation between concentration toxicity.
